

Head Instructor: Russ Lesko
Russ Lesko is a 4th Degree Black Belt and has been studying Shaolin Kung Fu for over 14 years and has been teaching the art for over 10 years now. Russ began his Shaolin training at the Boise Shaolin Center under Master John Keller in 1997. In May of 1998 Russ trained with Grandmaster The’ for the first time during the Grandmaster’s visit to Boise.
In 2000, after attaining the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt, Russ spent time assisting and teaching at the Boise Shaolin Center. In 2003, after attaining the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt Russ set out and began teaching in Caldwell at the Caldwell recreation department, in the old train depot in downtown Caldwell.
After just a few months the Caldwell Shaolin Program’s student base had grown to where it needed more space. In January 2004 Russ moved the Caldwell Shaolin Center to it’s current location on Cleveland Blvd were he received his Instructor certification to teach and share the art of Shaolin Kung Fu.
For 14 years he has devoted his time to training in the empty hand fighting styles of Shaolin, the weapons and meditation techniques. Russ’s training is ongoing. He trains often with his teacher, Master John, and enjoys training with other students and masters within our Shaolin organization. He also attends annual training seminars from Grandmaster Sin The’.
